Easy Olive Oil and Garlic Puff Pastry Pinwheels are full of flavor and a perfect side dish for your barbecues this year
Spring is in the air, and I couldn’t be more excited about that! There are some things that I like about Winter, but in general, I am always happy when it is on the way out. I am always excited for Spring, because of all of the beauty of the flowers and the trees, and because we can start eating and cooking outside.
I love having friends and family over for a great barbecue with good food. Many times, the focus of a barbecue is on the meat, but I like to make sure that we have delicious side dishes as well.
Personally, I always like to have some type of bread as a side dish. It can be rolls, garlic bread, naan, or these delicious Olive Oil and Garlic Puff Pastry pinwheels. This is one of my favorite recipes, because it is so easy to make using Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets. I use Puff Pastry Sheets for so many different recipes, including these quick and easy churro sticks, and this delicious napoleon recipe.
Puff Pastry Sheets are so versatile and cut down the time that it takes to make some of these recipes by quite a bit. For these pinwheels, all you have to do is roll out the Puff PastrySheets, brush them with a delicious spice mix, cut them into pinwheels and bake them.
These olive oil and garlic Puff Pastry pinwheels complement pretty much any type of meat that you can grill. To be honest, they are great with any kind of meal, but I especially love to serve them when there are a lot of guests and we are grilling in the Spring and Summer.
Being in Colorado, we can get some big snow storms even in the middle of Spring. That said, even that can’t stop me from getting started on all of my favorite Spring recipes. Check out the recipe below, and let me know about some of your favorite Spring recipes.
