This is definitely my favorite time of year. I love all of the fun activities that we always have planned with our family and I especially enjoy being able to try out lots of new, delicious recipes! it just seems like there are always occasions this time of year when I can make many different types of recipes – from sweet, to spicy, to savory and more! Whether we are taking them to a party or just making them for family and friends, I love making tasty food.

One of our favorite things to do in the month of December is to watch lots of movies. Sometime we watch movies on our couch as a family as it is snowing outside, and other times we head over to the local movie theater to check out a new movie. Regardless of where we are watching the movie, it is always important to have lots of snacks – and not only for the kids! Today I want to share a very quick, and very delicious snack that you can eat at your house in front of your TV, or at the movie theater.

Honey Bunches of Oats®. is one of our favorite cereals around here. It seems like we always have it on hand and everyone in the family (even my picky boys) love it. That is why it only makes sense that we should try to make recipes that include it. This recipe uses Honey Bunches of Oats and marshmallows to create a sweet, portable treat. Because of the butter I would say one to two days, longer if they're in the fridge. But I've never seen homemade cereal bars survive long enough to go bad before they get devoured! I think the fruit loop ones went the fastest, but you can try this recipe with practically any cereal and see which ones come out on top in your house!

Question: How long do these bars last for in a plastic container?
