Inside: These quick and easy Puff Pastry Churro Sticks are made using Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry and you can make them in no time at all!
If there is one dessert that I always looked forward to when I was growing up in Mexico, it was churros. They are the perfect combination of sweet, crunchy and just plain delicious!
Since they are pretty sweet, we usually only ate them on special occasions – like during the holiday season. That made them even more special and made me crave them all the more.
Making authentic churros can take some practice and sometimes don’t turn out perfectly. Fortunately, there are other recipes that are easier to make, but that have the same great taste. Today I want to share one of those recipes. These quick and easy churro sticks are made using Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry sheets, some butter, and a cinnamon-sugar combination.
Puff Pastry is such a versatile ingredient. I use it for so many recipes, like the following:
I love how you can take them out of the freezer and have them ready to make any of these delicious recipes in a hurry.
All you have to do for these quick and easy Puff Pastry churros is cut the Puff Pastry Sheets into strips and bake them according to the package instructions. Once they come out, brush some butter onto them, and then finish them off with a delicious cinnamon sugar mixture.
These may not be 100% authentic churros, but they are a delicious recipe that mimics the same flavors and that everyone that tries them loves! I made these for my husband and boys tonight and serve them with a little bit of ice cream. Needless to say, they were begging for more.
These are perfect for a dessert when you have family and friends over. You can make a lot in a short amount of time and you don’t have to worry about getting the churro batter just right or having the oil at the right temperature.
I hope that you enjoy these as much as we do. Be sure to check out more Puff Pastry recipes here.

Sure, here is my comment:
I love the sound of this recipe! It's a great way to get the same delicious churro flavor without all the work of making the dough from scratch. And the addition of ice cream is genius. I can imagine how the sweet and creamy ice cream would perfectly complement the crispy, cinnamony churros.
I'm also glad to hear that your family loved them! That's always the best test of a good recipe. I'm definitely going to have to try this one out soon.
Here are some additional thoughts:
I think it would be fun to try different flavors of ice cream with these churros. Chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry would all be great options. You could also top the churros with chocolate sauce or caramel sauce. If you're feeling really adventurous, you could even try making your own churro dipping sauce. No matter how you enjoy them, I'm sure these churros will be a hit! Tasty Treat

What a great treat! So simple to make and worked well with Splenda (I’m a diabetic so had to try that). Simple, quick, delicious, AND ADDICTIVE but for as small as these are, that’s okay! Thank you for sharing this. Hope many people see the recipe and actually try it. I have already come up with some ideas to ramp these up a bit and OF COURSE SOME IDEAS THAT INCLUDE CHOCOLATE!

Telling us to bake according to package directions isn’t helpful as Pepperidge Farms doesn’t put down a temperature or time. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!

Hi Carol, I apologize for the inconvenience. I believe the package I had included a recipe on it which indicated the temperature and time, but I can see how that would be frustrating if yours didn't have anything like that. I have updated the recipe to include the temperature and time. Good luck!
